Maisie Thomas and the Nome Nugget reported on recent steps to refine and improve the data collection tools that will measure the success of the project.

The 40-hour training of facilitators was lead by Lisa Wexler and Diane McEachern, who developed the training, and Roberta Moto, Tanya Kirk, Evelyn Day and Lisa Ellanna, who provided insight and guidance to the process to ensure that the training and the PC CARES approach are culturally-based and respectfully done.

The Arctic Sounder featured Maniiliaq Association's wellness program in a recent article, "Help Now Offered Closer to Home." The article details the PC CARES approach, as well as the broader strategies utilized to promote wellness and resilience across the region.
